Welcome to Infant Jesus Church, Battalgalla, a vibrant parish in the Diocese of Kandy. Rooted in devotion to the Holy Infant, our community gathers in faith, prayer, and fellowship to worship God and serve one another with love. For generations, this church has been a spiritual home for the faithful of Dickoya, nurturing families, guiding youth, and supporting all in their Christian journey. St. Francis Xavier’s Church, Portree is one of the oldest Churches in the Diocese of Kandy dating back to 1864. The history of the first ‘built-church’ begins in 1906. We are celebrating the 120th year of its birth next year. Its vibrant Tamil Catholic community.
